They did more work than either other contractor offered to do. The men were on time, professional, clean, and knocked out a huge job in two days. Very glad we found these guys!”

Frequently Asked Questions

A great kitchen is worth investing in – and the whole process can be surprisingly fun! When you first start considering a project, there’s a lot of info to take in. That’s why we’ve made it easy for you to get started by putting together an informative guide so you can learn more about the overall process and some important considerations when starting off. Furthermore, you can find answers to some of the most common questions that customers have below.

There are a wide variety of materials available for countertops, each with its own benefits. Granite is a popular choice for its durability and scratch-resistant surface. Marble is another popular option for its elegant appearance and heat-resistant qualities. Other options include quartz, soapstone, concrete, and glass. Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages, so it’s important to choose the right one for your needs.

The main difference between granite and quartz countertops is that granite is a natural stone while quartz is an engineered material. Granite countertops are made from 100% natural stone, while quartz countertops are made from 90-95% ground quartz with 5-10% resins and pigments.

Granite is a strong, durable material that is resistant to heat and scratching. However, it does require regular sealing and can be susceptible to staining. Quartz is also a strong, durable material but does not require sealing and is non-porous, making it less likely to stain. Quartz countertops come in a wide variety of colors and patterns because the color pigments can be added during the manufacturing process.

While some homeowners are capable of installing their own countertops, we typically recommend hiring a professional contractor to complete the job. There are a few reasons why it’s usually best to leave countertop installation to the pros:

One, accurate measurements are critical for a successful install and an experienced contractor will know exactly how to measure your space and order the right amount of material. This is especially important if you’re working with a stone or marble countertop which needs to be custom-cut.

Two, installation can be tricky – particularly if you’ve never worked with this type of material before. A professional will have the necessary tools and experience to get the job done quickly and correctly, ensuring that your project is done right the first time.

To keep your countertops looking new for years to come, be sure to seal them after installation with a quality sealer. After that, clean them with a gentle soap and water solution on a regular basis. avoid using harsh chemicals or scrubbing too hard, as this can damage the surface of the countertops. Finally, use a damp cloth to remove any spills or messes as soon as they occur.

Most people tend to spend between $100 and $200 per square foot for a new countertop installation. However, depending on the materials you choose and the complexity of the installation, this cost could vary significantly.

For example, if you want a natural stone countertop like granite or marble, you can expect to pay more than if you select a man-made material like laminate. Similarly, if your installation involves complicated cuts or extra work like installing a sink or backsplash, your total cost will be higher.
