How to Transition Your Home for Spring

The flowers are blooming, the weather is warming up & the birds are chirping! Spring is almost here and you know what that means, SPRING CLEANING! As we start to see the signs of spring we begin to fight back the urge to clean, organize, & even rearrange our living spaces. Especially since we have been spending a majority of our time in our homes.

Transitioning to spring is a great way to create a lighter & brighter space. Don’t stress too much though! This doesn’t mean you have to spend hours throwing out the old & replacing it with the new.

Here are some tips to help you transition your home for spring!

  1. Refresh your décor. We still want to make sure our spaces are warm & inviting, but this doesn’t mean we can’t lighten & brighten our space with staple décor pieces. Start by replacing your woven & thick winter essentials with more airy linens, softer tones & vibrant patterns! This will create a softer space that is still inviting!
  2. Add Greenery. This is something that should be added to your space no matter the season. Greenery is a great way to bring life to any space through bright colors, unique vases & a variety of textures. Try adding some of your favorite spring flowers to the mix!
  3. Update Your Storage. As you start organizing your space consider adding functional storage to the mix. The truth is you can never have too much storage. Consider updating your storage pieces to match your design aesthetic through baskets, trays, or even boxes!
  4. Update Your Linens. This can be a game changer, especially in your kitchen & bathrooms! You have already refreshed your décor, added greenery, & updated your storage so now it is time to update your linens to match! Adding neutral, brighter linens to the mix will instantly update your space.
